“Adorable!”

Getting some wonderful feedback about Amigurumi Style Crochet! This reviewer on Waterstones has described it as an ‘amazing crochet pattern book’. It makes all the hard work worthwhile to see that people are enjoying Betty and Bert!

One of my school friends contacted me the other day to say that she had been to the hairdresser, and the hairdresser saw a post about the book on my friends’ phone. She liked it so much that she went and bought the book, even though she couldn’t (yet) crochet!

Changing the world, one crochet stitch at a time, ha ha!

Making Betty 4: hair in a bun

This is the fourth in a series of tutorials to help with crocheting Betty, the star of my book Amigurumi Style Crochet. Betty is a super-stylish lady with a wardrobe of vintage-style outfits and accessories to crochet. There are also patterns for her cute companion Bert, who has his a few things of his own to wear!

In this tutorial we’ll be looking at how to make her ‘hair in a bun’ hairstyle. You can make this removable if you wish, but remember that if you sew it in place you won’t be able to take advantage of the other fantastic hairstyles in the book – or just make more than one Betty!
